How It Started
Supporting Those in Need Together also known as STINT, was formed in January 2021. STINT was formed and Co-Founded through a vision shared between Tony da Silva and Adeline Singh who are members of the Community in Weltevreden Park, each doing their own work in society to help uplift their fellow community members.
Tony has been a resident in the area for more than 23 years and Adeline for more than 17 years.
Tony is a member of the Weltevreden Park Community Policing Forum (CPF) and a former Lieutenant in the South African Army. He also works in a voluntary capacity assisting the local SAPS where needed. Tony holds a Hotel Management, Culinary & Logistics Management background. Tony spent his Youth in an Orphanage with his brothers and through his life experiences, he found the passionate and drive to help others who are from less fortunate homes.
Adeline is member of the Riverwell Residents association committee in the Weltevreden Park area. Adeline is a Community wellness activist, and holds a Master’s in business degree and has a background in Project Management & Human Resource Management and certified as an HR Technician with the SABPP. She is a Qualified Assessor with ETDP SETA and Services SETA and is a well-rounded Education, Training & Skills Development Specialist. Adeline has been assisting the Youth and Adults with Career & Business Advisory services in the community and various business sectors for the past 22 years.
